Yaxley Course

Do you live in Yaxley, Hampton or Southern Peterborough? Great news! The Health and Care Sector Work Academy is starting a course this Spring in Yaxley on the 31st March. On this course, you will learn all the essential skills that are needed to work in the sector, no matter what position you want to take up in the sector. From front-line staff to support, this is the perfect first step into a challenging, rewarding and varied career.

On the course, you will:

  • You will gain a City & Guilds Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
  • Gain knowledge of the Care Certificate Standards
  • You can apply for financial support for travel and childcare or adult care costs
  • You’ll receive mentoring support while on training and up to 4 months after your course
  • There are great opportunities to meet employers to gain the job you want and excellent prospects for progression to Level 2 or employment opportunities

I’m really enjoying the course, it is hard but tutors are very supportive and helpful and if further support is needed they have mentioned to come in early for extra support.
